Work History

Mining Mineralogist

ArcelorMittal Liberia
03.2021 - Current
  • Ore Characterization & Mineralogical Analysis: Conducted advanced mineralogical studies to define the ore variability for the Tokadeh, Gangra & Yeuliton deposit exploring the variability, mineral associations, and liberation characteristics.
  • Design validation & process Optimization: Validated concentrator design assumption against actual mineralogical data and propose adjustment to crushing/ grinding circuit, process flow design, to address mineralogical constraints.
  • Develop philosophy to address contingency plan for ore types that deviate from concentrator design specification and partner with mine planning and quality team to develop blending strategy that stabilize concentrator feed.
  • Liaise with geologist, mining engineers and metallurgist to align mine scheduling with concentrator capabilities.
  • Pioneered the establishment of the metallurgical department at the concentrator
  • Led the geometallurgy program with the R&D team and metallurgical team
  • Support the sampling protocol and philosophy for the concentrator

Mining & Mineral Processing Engineer

ArcelorMittal Mines et Infrastructure Canada
08.2023 - 12.2023

International Development Mission- Mines to Mill & Operational Readiness Integration

  • As part of strategic development minion to Canada, I was selected to analyze and benchmark best practices across a large-scale mining operation ( 26millip tons annually), focusing on integrated mines - to - mill workflows, concentrator optimization, and project management frameworks. This assignment aim to bridge the critical knowledge gaps and accelerate operational readiness for Liberia's emerging projects by translating global insights into actionable strategies.
  • Key Contribution & Learning:
  • Conducted in-depth site evaluations of the Mont Wright Mining Complex, processing and tailings management system to identify efficiency drivers, including ore blending strategies, grinding circuit optimization , and automation integration.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams ( geologists, metallurgists, environmental engineers) to analyze the interplay between mineralogy, process design, and environmental stewardship sustaining high-tonnage operations.
  • Evaluated commissioning protocols for concentrator startups, emphasizing risk mitigation, workforce training, and adaptive planning for ore variability.
  • Accessed AMMC regulatory frameworks and sustainability practices ( water recycling, emissions control) to inform Liberia's compliance strategy and community engagement.
  • Impact on Liberia's project:
  • Delivered comprehensive feedback to senior management panel, shaping Liberia's concentrator design, mine-to -mill integration, and environmental management plans.
  • Advised on geo-metallurgical modeling approaches to align ore characterization with processing capabilities, reducing ramp-up risks.
  • Spearheaded knowledge - transfer workshops for local teams, emphasizing operational readiness, safety culture, and adaptive ore-handling techniques.
